Who we are
Barrio.Works is an Alplus Technologies initiative. It covers Barrio.Works and the Barrio Notes product family. These terms apply to the site at notes.barrio.works and to the software that it serves.
The operator is Alplus Technologies S.R.L., Timișoara, Romania, CUI 55013997, Reg. Com. J2026041446003. The company is not registered for VAT. Write to us at hello@alplustech.com.
What the service is today
Barrio Notes is an early development build. The guest canvas is free and needs no account. Features can change, and some can stop working. Sign-in and cloud sync are not available yet.
The model
Barrio Notes is not a subscription. You will have two options:
- Pay once, and we host it for you. This option is not available yet.
- Download the source and host it yourself. This option starts when we publish the source. We have not published it yet.
The model that inspired this is once.com. ONCE is a trademark of 37signals. Barrio.Works is not affiliated with 37signals.
If you pay once for hosting
No price is set yet, and you cannot buy this option today. What the one payment covers is set at purchase. We will state the hosted terms and any limits before anyone can buy.
If you host it yourself
A copy that you host yourself runs under the license that ships with the source. You run that copy, and you are responsible for its hosting, its data, and its security. We do not operate your copy.
Your content
Your content stays yours. For the hosted service, you give us only the rights that we need to store your content and show it to you, so that we can run the service.
Acceptable use
When you use the service, do not:
- store or share illegal content
- abuse the service or put an unfair load on it
- attack the service, or try to break its security
- try to reach the data of other users
Guest data can be lost
The guest canvas saves your boards in your browser. If you clear your browser data, or if your browser or device fails, the boards can be lost. We do not have a copy and we cannot recover them. Keep your own copies of work that matters to you.
No warranty
The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind, to the extent the law allows. We do not promise that it will be free of errors or always available.
Limit of liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of data, profit, or business. To the extent the law allows, our total liability is limited to the amount that you paid us for the service.
Nothing in these terms limits a right that the law does not let us limit. This includes your mandatory consumer rights.
Changes
We can change the service and these terms. When we change these terms, we post the new date on this page.
Ending use
You can stop using the service at any time. We can suspend access to the service for abuse.
Governing law
The law of Romania, where the operator is registered, governs these terms. This does not remove the mandatory consumer protection of your country.
